Modern routers allow you to setup an isolated guest Wifi network. I connect all my IoT devices to the guest network so they can't snoop on my other connected devices.

The sensors themselves do not use wifi, they use some low-power low-frequency wireless tech. They use that method to communicate with the plug-in base station, and the base station connects to your wifi network.

I love these Govee leak detectors, they have saved me way more times than they should.

The B5054002 is the older model of these sensors. This is the version I own. They work great, but you need to have hub B07QP153GT if you want notifications on your phone. I see that some of the 3 packs contain this hub. This version is not smart home compatible right out of the box.

The H5043+H5058 are the newer version. I believe one of those model numbers is for the new hub and new style of detector. This one appears to be smart home compatible right out of the box.

I got these a while back - randomly 2 weeks ago one of them started going off by our hot water heater and I heard it beeping just before bed. Sure enough we had a leak. All in all these work well and are worth the cost if they prevent a big accident/leak

have had these as backup for about 2 years now. they work great and are very sensitive and give fast notifications. i do have one sensor that every once in a while falsely triggers, but i think its a bug shorting the contacts.

If you want to get remote notifications but don't want to spend much, you can get this version, $30 for 3 sensor and one wifi hub which can connect to its own app. https://a.co/d/ckiPqm3

I bought the 3 sensor version last week for $55 less $8 coupon. I have not opened, so I could buy now, and return the 1st order, but decided to just keep it.

Yes, I agree they are great. Worked a few times when needed via app. Also can combine with I believe Google to shut off main line with an additional item when a leak is detected. You can Google to find out. Still plan to do that when I have time.

These are just $10 off normal price however they are still a must buy. Especially if you have older hardware for your sinks and washer.

Did you try to replace the batteries? The ones that they come with suck. I ran into the same issue as you and new far superior batteries did the trick

Whats the difference between the two sensors (5054 vs 5058)? Its not obvious in the product link the pros/cons between the two. It looks like the 5058 comes with the better wifi gateway? Looking to buy water sensors to put in the attic to monitor my A/C and my garage for my water heater and app monitoring would be convenient.
