Got my phones today. I went ahead and used one of the phones to extend an existing line by a year with the 1200 min/text/data. Will do the 2nd one next week

Question: so this is for 2 phones, can I activate one phone/line this year and save the 2nd phone/line for next year?

You should activate the 1st phone now and next day or so activate the 2nd phone using the 1st phone's number. That way you will have 2 years of service. You have no recourse if you wait a year to activate and the minutes don't show up.

Can you no longer merge accounts? Was told via chat can't be done with the new system.
Most of them don't know how to do their job. Don't waste your time and just say "OK." and close the chat window, and then start a new chat.
Last time I need to open the 7th chat to get the job done. Today is my lucky day, the 4th agent can do it for me.

hi SD gang, just posting to say i was easily able to add these 2 phone's worth of prepaid to my existing TracFone Moto Pure bought last year on HSN without involving any support people intervention at all, just using the website account management system. in 60 days when these 2 phones are unlockable i will pursue that, then donate them both to a women's shelter.

https://i.imgur.com/xZLiVNp.jpg added 2yrs 2400 2400 2.4gb to my 1500 1500 1.5gb phone that was about to time expire.

so i now have 3 years of 4gLTE service, 2021 model phone, all the prepaid i could possibly need, and my net grand total cost = $90 bounce i know the verizon takeover may muddy the waters in a year, but the way i figure it, this will just offer verizon an incentive to give tracfone actives more sweetheart phone and plan deals as we'll all be part of one big happy family.

I'd inquire how you did it if you don't mind sharing.

I was going the angle of trying to get rewards for a better line, but might go your direction instead.

i would search for "tracfone" threads here on SD as it's been discussed many times, but here's how i did it without issue or help. obviously you must have your old tracfone (unlocked or not) you want to accumulate all flip phone time to (make sure you have it's IMEI handy) . i was advised to do this over many days so that each activation is on a different bulb calendar day, but i don't know if this was necessary. you do not need to physically move any sim from any phone, and you want to charge the flip phones but do NOT turn them on (or they'll auto self activate as they come shipped with the SIM installed). in a pc browser go to tracfone my account and fully login so you can see your old phone is listed there, once you do all that, here we go;

day 1: in a browser while your old phone is on, us a pc browser to tracfone.com/home/activation, choose "new phone", i want to keep my number, it will ask for your old number which should be in a dropdown selection if you logged into the site, it will want to send an sms text to your old phone, put the confirmation number in the pc browser you get from that sms text. next it will ask for the IMEI from the sim on the first flip phone (they print them out on a paper strip for you, so you don't have to look at the sim itself), if that IMEI is valid, keep confirming (it may need a moment to spin think so don't rush or reload the page), till it says it's done, now turn on the first flip phone with that IMEI you just specified. follow prompts on the phone (don't bother setting up wifi, you won't need it unless you plan to actually use that phone) and after a few minutes it will auto confirm as your new phone with that old number, wait a few more minutes and when you check your paygo balance all the numbers (on the website or via 611611 text on the phone) should have accumulated, so more days min sms gb on that old number. your old phone will only work over wifi, no cell service at all. your flip phone will work as your old phone number for min sms gb but you won't want to use it because these flip are a pita to use... i don't know how old people do it.

day2; do all the same, but now between your first new flip phone and the second new one

day 3: do all the same, but now between your second new flip phone and your old phone. (and yes, i know treating your old phone like a "new phone" is counter intuitive, but trust me, that's how they do it).

once that's all done, you'll see old phone totals plus first flip plus second flip, now all working and hosted back on your original old phone. on your account page you'll see your "active" old number phone details, and then two "inactive" IMEI numbers. i would set a timer for 2 months, then you can unlock the two flip phones and donate them to a women's shelter. good luck

bulb the only reason i was told to do this day wait between moves; if there is a screw up somewhere along the line with one of the activations, it's easier for human support to troubleshoot this if each activate is done on a different calendar day. after doing this myself, the entire process went smoothly, so if you are in a rush to get back on your old phone, then maybe waiting 20 minutes between activate moves will be fine? i donno. you could just physically move the SIM from the active flip to your old phone, there is no reason that should not work, but i didn't do this because my old phone was a spare, so i'd rather not depend on it for 2 days then risk having some rare uncaring human at tracfone clean up any mess i made.

in addition, don't forget to remove the now 2 "inactive" IMEI from your tracfone account
use the (ยทยทยท) menu top right of each "inactive" in their phone app - NOT on the website.
if you plan to donate these to a shelter, they may not be able to use them unless you
remove their IMEI from your active account. you can take the sims out, but do NOT
remove or obscure the IMEI sticker inside the phone back - new users will need that.

while both flips may have IMEI that you can confirm are tracfone unlocked
https://www.whistleout.com/CellPh...izon-mvnos
you will still be limited to Verizon's list of MVNO, also some MVNO support
multiple Cell ISP but you may need their Verizon specific sim card to do it.

Have you checked if your Orbics are already unlocked? Others said they arrived unlocked, so you may not have to wait 60 days to donate them.

thanks for saving me reading page of thread for this.
i did in fact check, and both flips report
Great news! Your phone is already Unlocked.

if you're planning on giving your phones away
don't forget to go in the tracfone app and then
removing your flip phone's "inactive" IMEI.

Yes it did. The only problem for me was that the phones are crappy. Would suggest you move minutes to a smart phone after all is said & done. So activate 1st one, next day or so activate 2nd one. Check your balance by texting "Balance" to 611611. Buy a new sim card at Best Buy for a buck (make sure it is for Verizon). Transfer balance to smart phone.
