ignore the padded amazon puff reviews
and check out the bluetti reddit sub
to get the real deal on bluetti
if i needed to rely on power in the middle of nowhere during an overlanding trip
and had to pick between jackery, bluetti, or ecoflow
you bet i will be going with jackery. i'd go with goal zero over all of them in fact.
lots of fear mongering bullshit floating around out there such as "this will be dead at 500 cycles" or, "this will only last a few yrs even if not used much"....b/c it's not lithium phosphate
these are absolute ridiculous claims for these people make
we get it, LiFePO has more life cycles.
what typically dies on these portable battery stations isn't the battery, it's the components (BMS, and especially the inverter). i would be less worried about the battery chemistry, and more about the quality of components the brand has decided to use. and as it stands, bluetti uses shit.

Jackery is a renown brand, but like many great brands of yesteryears, its quality has diminished quite a bit. Every part is outsourced all over the place. I've heard stories of dead/unusable Jackeries too. Nowadays, by paying a premium for a known brand, you're paying to hope that because it's a known brand, it's less likely to break down sooner. Heck, even Apple products nowadays (a brand known for consistent quality) aren't even at the level of quality they used to be.
The Chinese has flooded the markets in most sectors with their brands/products and slashing prices. The usual companies can't keep up, so something's gotta give, or get drown in the flood like so many of them had.

you completely missed my point about battery chemistry. the issue with these power stations is never the battery chemistry, it's the quality of the non-battery components and their failure rates......the BMS and the inverter just to name some. heat management to name another
if you want to know which brand of these power stations to get, stop obsessing over battery chemistry and look to see who is taking these power stations to the extreme and what they tend to buy
hint: no one is taking bluetti, ecoflow, and the other shenzhen chinese branded garbage on overland trips and going off-grid with them.......except, you guessed it.... the influencers on YT, tik tok, and instagram
i will GLADLY take a goal zero yeti power station with lithium ion, over a bluetti/ecoflow lithium phosphate.
