As far as the lens itself, it competes with the sony 135 g master. Not as fast to focus, but just as if not sharper. Bokeh is a bit better imo too over the GM. At this price its a no brainer, just make sure you know the working distance of a 135mm prime. Its pretty much replaced me using the 85mm focal length provided theres enough space.
If you do get it, with samyang lenses you pretty much have to have a lens station to update it, and in this lens case, a lens station to change what the switches/buttons on the lens control. So add another 40$ to this total.

The real question before everyone here trigger buys this lens is "do I even need a 135mm telephoto?" I've had many telephotos over the years, and over the past 15 years I've found that telephotos are great for macros or very artsy close ups. But if closeups and macros aren't your thing, and you just like taking pictures of people, landscapes and travel, you don't need to waste money on a lens like this. 135mm is not for everybody. And I've rarely seen an interesting photo taken by someone with a zoom lens either. 35mm, 50mm prime lenses will suit the majority of people's needs, including professional photographers.
I have the Rokinon version which I bought a year or so ago. Phenomenal lens. It may be a smidge slower than the Sony GM 135, but honestly it's probably pretty hard to note that difference unless you're doing back to back tests with both lenses. Mine focuses super fast. Image quality is incredible and the bokeh is stunningly beautiful. I've gotten lots of compliments on photo's i've taken from this lens.
The thing with the 135mm focal length is that it's harder to shoot with unless you have a lot of space to work with and suitable backgrounds to blow out. There are 85mm lenses which can give similar results. You can definitely see the difference between both focal lengths, but overall the 85mm is easier to work with. However, for specialty shots, like up close, macro's, or half body/head shots, this lens does not disappoint.
There's an article I read some years back about how the 135mm is the greatest lens you will never use. It's true, i don't take it out on most occasions, all my other lenses get more use, but when a situation calls for it, it does not disappoint. I personally always have and likely always will have a 135mm in the arsenal. At this price point, for a luxury lens, its a no brainer.
