If you're just looking to play around and test the hobby I'd stick to the mini 2 and the phone screen controller honestly works quite well. Of course this is an awesome setup and good for the price, just throwing my recs out for a beginner setup. I have the 2 and for what I do It's perfect.

Just what I wanted to know. I think I will save some bucks and get 2. As after seeing all these deals I fear dji might drop 4/4pro soon.

The obstacle avoidance is what I wanted as a new drone user. So although I'm a novice, I think if you can swing it, this is better.

Trust me, Amazon had this as prime deal this morning @ $693.49 before tax as well, but it's sold out so back to 3rd party seller prices.

I snagged one from Amazon this morning.

just an FYI..
That is odd that your shipping date is 18th.. I ordered mine this morning at 0800 eastern time (same price 693) and it is supposed to arrive before 10pm tonight.. It was advertised as same day shipping.. I live in 32216

Is this a good deal? I can get the v2 for half the price. Is the price worth it?

I have a 2, but bought this for the hell of it. The remote it comes with will probably have me flitting now often, but getting some aerial video/photos with my 2 has been great.

Got money to burn? Buy it. This your first drone and not sure how you'll use it? Get the 2 and save some money for a future upgrade later.

I have seen leaks that a mini 4 pro or at least some sort of upgrade to the mini 3 pro (like a mini 3s pro) has been spotted being tested so I would wait instead of buying now. The major flaw with the mini 3 pro is that it has no sideways obstacle avoidance sensors, if that is what they are improving on then the drone would be perfect.

Do not rely on that. If you think it is reliable, you'll crash it sooner than what you think
