This unfortunately has only 1gbps ports. At this price point, they should at least include one 2.5gbps port. That is what I am looking for. Wifi 6, tri-band, 2.5gbps port.

Had this since black friday from Costco. Absolutely best router/mesh network I ever owned.

I am getting DOWNLOAD Mbps 945.58 all day.

I am using xfinity.

I bought these a while back. I expected more. I usually end up rebooting them all somewhere between 1-4 weeks just to get the WiFi reliably working again with all my devices. Could be just my situation but I will try a different vendor next time. They are in a suburban colonial and I used them in access point mode (which is supported) but maybe not what most people do.

Their latest firmware allows a guest network and IoT network which is nice. Except the IoT password can't have spaces in it. What? I'm not reprogramming dozens of IoT devices because of some arbitrary restriction from TP-Link.

same experience here. it has blown my mind. the only thing i wish it had was a speed test into the router on the router firmware. outside of that i found the mobile app to be somewhat limited for networking options, however, does the job for what its meant to do — with lightning fast throughput, especially if you use a wired backhaul

I will answer here as I have been using it for the same amount of time — this is my wireless throughput. 1GB into the home via xfinity — routinely 930-950 Mbps via wireless to iPhone/MacBook regardless of location (2500sf home)

yes, different model number for a costco only version. same tech, different shell. I believe the 5400 has a white top and the 5300 have a black top, nothing else is different outside of the SKU

Keep in mind that tplink switched security systems and it's now a subscription service for the new one!

Went from homecare (free) to homeshield(subscription), be mindful of the models and which had which service.

Having this for about 6 months without any issues on the wireless part. But the Ethernet ports on 2 of them(1 in each) failed now and I am currently doing an RMA.

This is exactly the reason why I returned the units I bought. I used to own Deco M9 units that come with Homecare for free. I upgraded to these units, but my app updated to Homeshield, and it's asking me payment for subscription. I returned them and bought Asus mesh instead
Asus does not require subscription for the same service

All of your devices will recognize the new router since it's the same name and password.
Did similar with my mesh system and havent noticed any drop. IP Passthrough is probably the easiest way to do it.
