This is one of the best 4K reference movies. It's up there with Pacific Rim. If you want to see how good movies can really look and sound on your TV and sound system, this is a great movie for that. Especially if you have an OLED. Holy schnikes.

For anyone who just wants digital, this goes on sale for $5-$10 on iTunes and Vudu pretty frequently. I've seen it for $5 a bunch of times.

The Bluray review says otherwise, and it's upscaled 2k source not native 4k. The review said on the 4k version it's easy to tell what is cgi and some things just don't look right or believable. The Atmos soundtrack though is excellent but it's also available on the Bluray disc.

I was just about to comment with the same warning, so thank you. If you can get the standard 1080p blu-ray for less, I'd recommend going that route (if not, this does come with a 1080p disc). Aside from the 4K disc being a 2K upscale, I find the HDR grading to be blown out and oversaturated in a lot of scenes. I actually prefer the SDR presentation on the 1080p blu-ray. A player or TV with good upscaling helps bridge the gap, of course.

yeah, and I was talking form the point of view of already having the Blu-ray too, not worth it to upgrade.
