This deal is still ongoing, it's a lukewarm deal for a gen 13 Intel cpu, but the speakers suck. Even at 100% volume you can't make out all the details and the bass is lackluster. I use a MBP 14", and probably this is why I notice the difference too easily on this ASUS, I was forced to install Boom3D which made a little improvement

The 8gb is fine for productivity and media consumption. Works the same way as macs using swap memory.
