I used Technics 1200s as a DJ with high end cartridges. This is a licensed knock off of the Technics. These went up in price when Panasonic wanted to come out a several thousand dollar remake of the 1200s.

The sound quality is unique that you hear on vinyl and on a player of this quality. You hear real music not computer repaired perfect everything. You hear the human spirit. I love listening to a side to side of an album. Listing to The Cars first album and you can hear the unremastered and cleaned up real sound they played.

I got this item for my son for $199 for Christmas. He is 21 now and has over 400 albums that he rotates through. Yeah he uses Spotify but loves to put on an album and listen to it through and through. His first album was Van Halen's first album.

But the sound of this player is great. Worth more if you are someone who loves vinyl.
