That being said, I would never recommend these types of strips unless you only want colors and no ability to show true white light. It only meshes the colors to get as close to white as possible with color LEDs and it just doesn't look good when it does that which means every aspect of their function is also limited. Don't get me wrong, these can be fun for a $10 purchase but just don't expect a high level of function out of them.
I love basic white LED strips and have used them on tons of random projects over the years. they can almost always be had for a great price but that is just a preference. I tend not to care about the color flexibility other strips offer but the one time I bought these Govee lights, I didn't realize they didn't have the true white lights and they almost never get used outside of Christmas time.

This 32.8ft of LED strips contain 300 LEDs. The product you linked is cheaper but seems to only contain *540 LEDs across the 100ft length. There is more to an LED strip than just length.
That being said, I would never recommend these types of strips unless you only want colors and no ability to show true white light. It only meshes the colors to get as close to white as possible with color LEDs and it just doesn't look good when it does that which means every aspect of their function is also limited. Don't get me wrong, these can be fun for a $10 purchase but just don't expect a high level of function out of them.

No. You have to have a transformer for each strip to power it.
Thanks. Can you please elaborate on what type of transformer.
It's the electronic part that plugs into the wall outlet to power the lights. One transformer comes with it. If you cut the strip into pieces, you won't be able to power the other strips. I don't know that you can even buy separate transformers, but if you can, I don't think it would be cost effective.
