As an alternative, If you have a recent version of iOS, free to enable settings, control center, hearing. Swipe down top right corner, click the ear then the circle bottom center to turn on or off. Try the different sounds, set up a shortcut etc…

Android probably has something similar, or buy specialized apps for either.

Whatever app or machine works best for someone to relax or get better sleep…

Video from user shows there's cable and adapter. And q&a section says it can be turned ON indefinitely without timer.

App is good for testing if you like sleeping with white noise and what kind of what noise. For me, I've been using app for years and multiple times ran into issue where the white noise stopped by itself (maybe due to auto update, not sure.. but definitely not because I didn't exclude it from list of app that can be turned off automatically for power saving). I use Android, maybe iphone is more reliable.

I've used a LectroFan white noise machine for years and find that it works better than apps, which I will use when away from home. For those considering a machine, $5 is a low enough price that you can comfortably give it a try. My LectroFan is currently $40 on Amazon, and I doubt that this device would work as well.

In my experience the couple android white noise app are major battery hogs even in airplane mode. Only use them if I forgot the machine and have no other options

Although it is just a fan noise that has 3 "speeds" to choose from, I personally like the app "Bedtime Fan."

You can screenrecord your favorite ones then have it set to loop on your phone without using any of the app or possible data or much of any of your battery power
