Fantastic price and they are new, not a refurb!

Would these work for swimming laps? Not sure if ip67 would be good enough since rating states short term immersion.

Bluetooth won't transmit through water, so for swimming you need a headphone that has storage built in. Shockz has one, but it's pricey.

I don't think so. Also they are bluetooth and it does not transmit well through water.

nope

If you want something for swimming, you need mp3 playing bone conduction. Shokz has a really expensive version, or you can buy a knockoff for far cheaper. But either way, you need one with onboard storage, not bluetooth. Do a search on amazon for "bone conducting mp3 player" and youll probably find plenty.

How do these compare to another deal on similar headphones. Is it worth extra $50 for SHOKZ? I mainly use it for gym workouts

Haven't used the Philips brand, but I have the OpenRun.

I've been very happy with them, and they're a good price.

I wasn't impressed with the ones I got for meetings with the mic. Terrible sound as reported by others in Teams meetings.

The open run uses a proprietary magnetic charging cable vs the Phillips which uses a usb-c. Not sure if that is a dealbreaker or not, but it would be for me personally. Not all models of Shokz use that , my version has a usb-c, but the OpenRun linked above does use the magnetic cable.

They cause headaches and trigger migraines
I can't speak for migraines, but I've never had a headache with my Trekz Air. It can be a weird sensation at first and can make your ears feel like it's itching, but that subsides after a day or two of use. Volume level plays a big part in that, so I keep it quite low and mainly use it in the office. I don't recommend them in noisier areas such as around city traffic, because cranking the volume up to compensate can make it uncomfortable. I could wear mine 5-6hrs comfortably.

What if pairing the headphone with an Apple Watch that is in close proximity with the headphone?

Fair warning if you have a big head, these are not for you. They were a little better sound quality than my Aftershokz but they did not fit my head at all and became annoying to wear instantly.

Only buy this if you have a small head, cause medium to large heads probably will all have the same problem as me.

ooooooh, thank you for that. Yeah, I'm not buying into any ecosystem that uses proprietary charging protocols. Nothing but trouble.
