how does this compare to the dualsense ? I play the ps5 but i want a second controller for my gaming laptop. I figured i'd get a second dualense for back up as they don't last long(drift issues) but idk a discounted controller like this is tempting.

These still horrible quality or what? Had two fail and at $120+ they can go to hell

My halo edition sucked. I've been hesitant to spend money on another one since. They need to majorly ramp up quality control.

I've had every elite controller since they came out, including this one listed (but in white) I've had it for around a year and it's held up great. Better than the original elite controller (grips fell off) and the elite controller 2 (bumper stopped working).

Definitely think it's worth $100 if you're in the market.

Same, these are the best yet and imo better than other paddle controllers out there -- the 'other' brand now uses the standard controller and upgrades it, then charges over $250 for it. My son switched from that to this exact elite and hasn't looked back...

Nice weight, controlled vibration (capable of much more subtle tactile feedback), 3 adjustments for trigger pull, etc.

Doesn't suffer from stick drift or grips coming off like prev elites

If you want xbox's grip form and are a fanboy of microsoft, sure, get this, otherwise/functionality wise it's worse than dualsense. The Elite controller is advertised as a customizable pro controller but its customization options can't even be compared to some $60 chinese controllers. Oh, worse, it still uses Alps joystick and you need to do some soldering to replace it (just like dualsense), while the chinese xbox controllers counterparts have hall effect.

TLDR: imo dualsense is better.

For occasional PC gaming, is there any advantage to this over the 8Bitdo Ultimate 2.4/bluetooth controllers that are on sale for about half the price at $55?

I need to buy two for the kids to VS one another.
