This Samsung is much better. Also, Bose as a brand is generally on the low-end for audio equipment (except their headphones). You're mostly paying for their marketing department, with very little of that money going into the actual speakers. They're low quality speakers for a consumer high-end price. Beats headphones became as popular as they did by following the same strategy.

I wonder how does it compare to Bose Smart Soundbar 700 which was $300 at Costco a while ago

Is this really the same model as the one from the Samsung deal? Why does this one have worse reviews?

Many Samsung products have a Costco equivalent with identical specifications but a slightly differently formatted model number. This model (HW-Q7CB) clearly suggests the standard HW-Q700. Specs are identical, and even the product pages on the 2 respective websites are identical. I can't definitively claim they're exactly the same, but they are very very likely exactly the same.

Buy now, return later. FWIW, I bought the Bose 700 deal suggested in an earlier post but returned it since it had zero base without also buying the additional (and proprietary) Bose woofer. This compared to a $100 Vizio M21 bar.

I bought this in store this past weekend for $279.99. Going to rebuy and return the in-store one since I hadn't even opened it yet.

Will the Atmos speakers (upward firing) be kind of useless if this is mounted on the wall under the TV?

If I have a high ceiling like 18', would the upfire speakers or Atmos be practically no use at all?

For an audio illiterate, is this a good option to use with the monoprice monolith? As a speaker?

I bought a few weeks ago, but returned unopened yesterday, since i got my LG soundplate working.

I may buy it again, just to have a spare. The warehouse price was $279 yesterday. I wonder if that will be lowered, or if this is just something today to go with Prime day?

Paid $397 for it last year when it was on sale. Excellent sound when watching TV. Adding two rear speakers (9500s) this weekend and see if it improves the sound of music.
