This card looks so awesome. Probably my favorite 7900XTX design.

I brought MSI 4080 GAMING X TRIO around 1050 on prime day, but Amazon won't ship to me until August, should I cancel the order and change it to this one?

that's up to you. i believe the 4080 trades punches with the 7900xtx, but obviously also has better ray tracing performance and supports DLSS 3.0. the 7900xtx has more vram, however.

at the same/similar price, I'd prob hold onto the 4080, despite Jensen Huang being a prick about the pricing of the current gen. however, I've seen the 7900xtx as low as $800. at that price, the 7900xtx might be a better value depending on the games you play.

What Muchhow said is true. Also if you do find a better deal while you're waiting for your MSI card to ship you can just hop that that new deal on a 4080.

Yes, this is one of the best XTX cards you can buy and it beats the 4080 in everything except Ray Tracing. That being said, RT is such a hog of resources it's just not worth it. Check out the review I posted below and compare it to the resolution you play at.

Yes. I own this card, its amazing overall. The performance is top notich (toggle the OC bios switch.) It bests the 4080 in most games. Only advantage to the 4080 is ray tracing performance, but dont be fooled, this card can ray trace just fine. You also get to avoid any potential issues with power delivery since this uses 3x standard pci-e 8 pin's and not the shitty 12VHPWR.

It's tough to call this slick after the ASRock phantom 7900xtx was just $800 with a starfield preorder. Making it $740 if you were going to buy starfield anyway. The performance difference between this sapphire card and the ASRock is negligible and definitely not worth hundreds more. I would suggest waiting for a better deal

I have a XFX 7900 XTX on the way, what game should I use to really put it through its paces? (no RT please don't make me feel bad about not getting a 4090)
