Well, not really. You may need 12v-14v, but bigger vehicles need more cold cranking amps. I don't know what this unit supplies as cranking amps, but the mah is a good size battery bank. Personally I keep a super capacitor jump starter in my car that way I don't need to worry about it staying charged. It uses your low battery to fill up its caps. Capacitors can dump their charge much more rapidly than a battery. So it can jolt your car to start it. Car batteries are only used for a short jolt of power then it relies on the alternator. If you want to power something for longer then you would need a deep cycle marine battery or just a different battery chemistry.

I purchased one just as backup, and my daughter's significant other had electrical problems. I gave it to her as a early BD present, and he must have used dozens of times. After months of abuse, it died.

Which is amazing. This was an 1970's Ford F150 V8, which was his late grand dad's and had an immaculate body. Just a heads up because some people will simply use this as an excuse NOT to go to the mechanic, and will eventually destroy it. Plus depending on what is wrong with the electrical system, it can damag other parts of the electrical system.

I wouldn't give it as a present to somebody like that again. I'd let them borrow it for a couple of days to get it to the mechanic, but that's it.

I've owned this product for 10 years, definitely needs an update now as it's not the best bang for your buck for spec numbers, USB-c fast charging, low cranking amps, and other features but I will say it's a reliable product and has always gotten me out of a dead battery situation. One time I used it every day to get to work and back for like 4 months. The one time it didn't turn over a completely dead battery the first time I just let it sit on the terminals for an extra minute or two and it started it right up. I'd say you can get about 50 jumps on a single charge even with this low capacity battery. If you don't have any jump box at all you should get one.

same manufacturer (or maybe is the mfr for) the Mophie AC enabled ones. I have 4 of them and they're great. I got mine for less than $30 on ebay. I wouldn't pay this much for the one without the inverter though.

and yes 44Wh, not Ah. tbh, watt hours is a better metric than amp hours since it's actual energy capacity.

In theory sure, but not when it gets advertised as 44 Ah when the real spec is 44 Wh. Additionally, 44 Wh is 14.8 times worse than 44 Ah when talking car jump starters, not 3.7. It's very obvious that this isn't a 44 Ah battery given the size, but still...

Seems like a no Brainer buy for me. I work from home and barely get to use my car and the battery dies often when I do move it. Bought one and can't wait to use it. It's a pain in the butt now because I have to jump the car with my suv and this is a no Brainer convenience product. Also I read reviews that meet my product use case as well if others were wondering.
