I believe it's still a low flat fee return shipping, which is not uncommon (Zulily, Columbia, and many others do this).

Don't get me started on Joe's NB Outlet, though. Horrid, but shilled here constantly. No exchanges, pay all your own return shipping, rude agents…

Cotton doesn't insulate well when wet and takes forever to dry. For hiking and some outdoors activities you need wool or expensive luxurious env-friendly plastic.
