I have an aeropress, but Keurig & vertuo is less steps
Vertuo machines have to be emptied, refilled with water, descaled on occasion, drip tray cleaned daily, etc. They're not maintenance free.
And as I outlined above, I find the actual-attended-time for a pourover (with the Oxo pourover thing) to be maybe 30-60 seconds longer than making coffee in a Vertuo.
(I also love my Aeropress, but admit that that's definitely a bit more hassle)
And even though the Pop looks like a Next, I'm confident that the issues with the Next have been engineered out. Reviews seems good so far with the Pop.
The author is merely making a possible assumption and writes "The Next is known to have reliability issues and the big open question is whether or not the Pop will be plagued by the same problems."
Considering how long the Next issues go back, I'd hope that these issues were addressed by now.
He also recommends a Vertuo Plus with the automatic lid. I have that one and would agree but he leaves out that those don't work with the 12/18oz pods.
