How long would this keep a wifi orbi router working?
It's not a clear cut answer and requires you need to find out how many Watts you're using (an average value). Then look up what this device can provide.
You can look here: https://www.vertiv.com/en-us/prod...-pst5-ups/
on page 25 of the manual, last column is for the 850. The brochure also has a value for "Backup Time (Full Load/Half Load) mins" at 1.5 or 6 minutes and you could use that as an approximation based on your wattage usage.
I don't know much about UPS. Will this be enough for my gaming rig? My rig can draw 400-450 watt when pushed to max. I just need it give me 5 mins so I can shut down safely.

maybe for a min or 2, but i wouldnt expect more then a min.
"modified sine wave" isn't really much like a sine wave at all. It's a slight improvement on the old square wave inverters. The waveform has sudden step edges, and these cause current surges in an appliance's power supplies that don't happen with a true sine wave. In the long run, this can destroy the capacitors or diodes that make up the power supply.
Given that true sine wave inverters are now available, the best place for a modified sine wave inverter is your local electricals recycling centre.
Most of today's modern home electronics have no problem with simulated sine wave. I would only be concerned if one was running sensitive medical, science equipment or similar devices.
