1) I got charged a shipping fee of 6.95.
2) I originally added the annual option just to see what the cost was. It as the bag you get with annual as a separate line item with a price of. I removed the annual and added the quarterly and the bag was still in my shopping cart for 0. So I just went with it.
Overall, total was 38.02 but should get back 25 from Amex for a total of 13 for the bag and the box. Not bad.
Edit: I confirmed if you just do the box shipping is free. So the 6.95 shipping was to cover the canvas bag. Still not bad.
Edit 2: shipped today and I got a "partial refund" of 6.95 for shipping charges. the order still shows the box and back, so I will see what I get when the package arrives
Final Edit: I received this email: "We have canceled your original order along with issuing a refund for the shipping costs that were assessed to your account for the backpack. A refund in the amount of $6.95, has been credited back to your original form of payment. Please allow 3-5 business days to the transaction to reflect your account, depending on your financial processing times. In addition, a replacement for your original order has been processed. Once your new order has shipped from our warehouse, you should expect to receive an email confirmation that will include your new tracking number. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Anyways the GQ stuff is okay, definitely not worth the $50 asking price, probably $25 retail value, and like $15+ actual value.
A lot of the personal care stuff is trial sizes, usually 1-2 nice things but the rest kinda is junk.

I did a similar amex offer this past winter, and it had a free sweatshirt. It came as a postcard in the box with a code that you used to redeem on the retailer's website (with free shipping). When redeeming on the retailer's website, I got to pick my size.
This company is designed to give you trouble. Imagine working in a place like that?
