Looks like a great deal, right? Any other laptop with these specs are at least $500 more expensive.

Both the 4080 and 4090 are a significant step-up from the 4070 in terms of major performance gains. With the 4090, You'll be getting ~10% additional performance and 4GB extra VRAM over the 4080. Is it worth $500? If you have the money, that's for you to decide -- jarrodstech did a good video comparison that might help you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xqgZNnPSfB8

What's the deal with everyone saying B@H has a bad return policy? Says they accept any returns up to 30 days. What's so bad about it?

Picked one up. Going to do some programming, video editing, ML stuff (mostly stable diffusion, some LLMs (running, not training)). A decent screen is always mandatory. This checked the boxes. Would've been nice for even more VRAM, but no good options. Bummer that the mobile 4090 doesn't have 24Gb like the desktop version.

Would Lenovo price match? I'd grab that 4090 if they can since they got 10% cb right now

I've returned camera equipment in mint condition with no problems. I read someone mentioned that they're sticklers with returning laptops?

Don't forget, these are the mobile versions of those cards. They don't perform as well as the standard versions
The 4090 mobile performs like a 4080 desktop card

Assuming it's a firmware update to allow 64gb. But yeah it's weird if 32gb was the max, 32gb is the new 16gb standard for this year.

32gb is the max that Lenovo will sell because of the speed difference (to a customer, lower speed number looks bad). The intel CPU itself supports 64gb but just at 4800 mhz for now.
