I would not buy this. B2 77 inch was in sale for 1800 at best buy a few days ago. B2 is 120hz and so much better than A2.

B2 stock is sold out, C2 stock as well. All that's left are used/refurbished and very few G2 *New models.

This A series tv is excellent if placing in a bedroom, basement or any area with controlled lighting.

Benefits of infinite contrast Oled at a very low priced.

A model is no longer for 2023 as LG at least in USA start with B3.

Been in the market for an upgrade. The 60hz refresh rate is what causes motion blur when panning, right? I have an old LCD with a motion mode that greatly reduces motion blur, but that in turn causes movies to look weird.

Same. 65" CX in my living room, 55" B7 in my bedroom and 48" C1 in a guest bedroom. All work flawlessly.

4K is a max of 60 Hz.

No, it's not.

The A 2 is. The B in the post you quote is 120Hz max at all resolutions it supports.

I'm saying higher refresh rates don't help 4K content, that higher rate is for games.

Ok- but that's also wrong.

24 fps as some films are divides evenly into 120.... 24 does not divide evenly into 60, meaning they have to use gimmicks like BFI and can't produce a judder free picture from 60p and 60i sources.

These are all true at 4k as well as lower resolutions.

Under the judder section on rtings you can see why this matters:

Quote from B2 judder specs :
24p Judder

Judder-Free 24p via 60p
Yes
Judder-Free 24p via 60i
Yes
https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/lg/a2-oled
Versus the 60Hz panel on the A1 that can't do most of this:
Quote from A2 judder specs :
24p Judder

Judder-Free 24p via 60p
No
Judder-Free 24p via 60i
No

You can also see the difference in the BFI section where you find

Quote from B2 specs on BFI :
Optional BFI
Yes
Min Flicker For 60 fps
60 Hz
60Hz For 60 fps
Yes
Quote from A2 specs on BFI :
Optional BFI
No
Min Flicker For 60 fps
N/A
60Hz For 60 fps
No

So 120hz better for movies at 24p?
Was just thinking I don't need 120hz as I don't do game on these.
