The new plan pricing can F off. The fact that we now have to pay $150-$200 for an annual ad-free plan is absurd. New CEO can go pound sand.

I have yet to see enough consistent content on this service to justify the annual cost.

I'm not renewing my subscription, even with legacy plan pricing. It's ridiculous how lousy these "premium" services have become. There is zero new content unless you want to watch a series. What happened to new movies?

Last year there was a better deal in October 2022. Was closer to $50 off instead of $25.

I agree not worth the price for a longterm plan.

I got the $8 for a month for 2 months deal and thats plenty of time to watch the shows I want and then move back to another one to do the same.

This is a double whammy this time. Lower offer redemption amount combined with a nearly $50 price increase for the yearly subscription.

Too much money this go round.

HBO Max gets the new Warner Bros titles but WB has been churning out mostly trash for the last 5 years if not more.

For instance, the next 'big' new theatrical movies to hit Max will be Shazam 2 and The Flash.

There are strikes everywhere. Hardly any new contents movies wise. Last of Us probably won't be out till 2025. Right now I'm enjoying rewatching Deadliest Catch but $75 is too much for Max. Hopefully cashback sites will have deals to make it similar to last year's $50.

You forgot the part where the pulled content off it too! Hbo was my favorite streaming service as they have some of the all time great series, new CEO looks like he's going in the "garbage production factory" direction

It's called enshitification. It's the natural cycle that happens when YoY and QoQ growth is the only thing that matters. And that growth is required forever.

(HBO) Max is included with my AT&T internet plan, so these deals are irrelevant to me.

But with so many different streaming services these days, better to sub a month here and there and switch between them.

So wait. For $150 a year we don't even get 4k and atmos? BUT for $200 we do? I guess when mine expires next month from a real deal last year I will NOT be renewing.

Does anyone know if this works for renewals? My annual subscription expires in December, after the expiration date of this offer. I can't seem to find any info on this at Max and AmEx.

Ad-Free now Ultimate Ad-Free? What a joke. They'll be discounting this 30% off soon enough.
