I don't agree with many of the early commenters stating that these don't stay in place. I recently put down about 1800 sq ft. of LVP and used the varieties from the first (Kobalt Ultra Light Knee Pads (KB-KP-100)), second (Kobalt Low Profile Knee Pads (KB-KP-105)), and seventh links (Kobalt Pro Flooring Knee Pads (KB-KP-108)), but the brands from Home Depot. They both stayed in place just fine. Maybe my calfs (calves?) are bigger and help them stay in place. The ones in the first and seventh links have a single strap that goes below the knee and the pads stay up/in place just fine for me. I actually like them better than the ones in the second link that have two straps (one above the knee, one below). The variety in the second link wore out after about 1000 sq ft. I really like the Kobalt Pro Flooring Knee Pads (KB-KP-108), though they get sweaty. I can't imagine laying flooring without some form of knee pad.

What, I'm the first comment and it will be non- innuendo"d? Thanks. My son was finally able to buy his first home in this pirhana pool of a real estate market. House has no fooring. so it will be a family event installing SPC floors ourselves. so these should be useful.
2 are pads that go on your legs, 2 are pads that you kneel on.
the pads that go on your legs aren't good. I have a pair of husky that are like the 2nd link in the OP and they're actually a lot more painful behind the knee than anything. There are better knee pads out there with straps that won't hurt as much.
If you're wearing pants, it's not a big problem. If you're wearing shorts, you will at some point give yourself a rash/burn from the straps rubbing.
While I appreciate a good deal if these do in fact slip like several posters have indicated that could result in a disastrous effect and very serious injury.

that's why I bought the ones I have. Mine stay in place, but it's all due to the strap design and while mine held, they also started hurting real bad behind the knee.
I purchased these last year. They lasted 6 days, and the threading holding on the plastic guard started to unravel. I wouldn't expect another pair to last long but for this price who cares.
I came looking for $2.50 ones, I normally stack a blanket or towels on the ground when I need to be working on my knees, it does the job but, something like this would save me from doing that but, after the first few posts, sounds like more trouble than it's worth...
If you have never had knee pads and do... basically anything ever (maybe including that) on your knees I highly recommend them. At this price point they can be a "I almost never use them" purchase lol.
