We've had ours for about a year and works well. Haven't changed the batteries yet. The only annoying thing is that the detector will sometimes detect motion farther than usual and turn off when I don't want it to.

Eats batteries like a fat kid eats cake. I have to change the 4 AAAA every 4-6 months.

companies warranty has replaced all parts without questions. I'll probably go with a powered unit next time.

If you really have an issue, you can convert this to run on AC. Of course you'll need AC under the sink, but there's nothing special about AA batteries - just get some sort of AC-DC PSU that outputs 6VDC and you're good to go. Frankly, I've owned 2 of these over maybe 4 or 5 years (different properties) and MAYBE had to change the batteries once?

The batteries open the solenoid (naturally closed), so the only way you're eating through them is if you're constantly turning the unit on.

I've had similar from a previous Home Depot deal over three years ago, works well in a high usage sink that gets multiple uses daily. I've use longer lasting alkalines and have had to change twice as long as I've had it - if I don't want to fiddle with changing the batteries yet, I can turn the dial and it becomes a regular faucet. Maybe I was lucky with my unit versus some of the comments here, but would purchase again.

Just checked the original Home Depot page, my exact unit is nearly $200 now. No Bio Bidet branding either.

Not sure why all the hate on this.

Perfect faucet, looks good and doesn't break the bank. I've had 2. Batteries last a long time.
Thanks....am looking at this for laundry/mudroom sink. Its the sink that gets the utility use and the sensor would be excellent for dirty/messy hands to quickly wash without gooping up the handle.

Besides the bad branding, this faucet can't handle hot water (>150F) Things break after a year. I have the same in another unit where the water isn't as hot and it's still good after 5 years.
150 is well above what would be recommended for a water heater setting. It's past the point needed to kill bacteria and at the point where people can easily get burned if they are not careful.

You might have a particular need for that, but it's not typical for water to be that hot in a residential kitchen sink.

This looks similar to the one I bought from home Depot. I think it was $99 3 years ago. Still going strong with the original set of batteries

I had this one, started leaking at the handle and right around the sprayer head after 4 years.
The customer support wasn't very good. They were going to charge me $20 for cartridge, $20 for black box, etc. Also, junction area where black box was leaked as well and my sink bottom got wet as well.

They may make decent Bidet, but faucet quality is sub par IMHO.

Thank you, just ordered another one for my new place.

Had one of these for 4 years, works flaswlessly. Black Eneloops last a year, but if you have an electrical outlet under the sink, would be cool to wire for USB plug and use phone charger as main power source.

Have one, leaked at the valve when installed. Wasn't happy with the materials, spray pattern was "meh".

Spent twice as much on a Kohler with the spring hose thing (https://www.costco.com/kohler-sem...04330.html)

Way happier. Literally every day, I use it and think about how it's one of my favorite things I've bought for the house.

Don't even bother with the bio bidet. Nobody wants to be under the sink changing the faucet in a year, or sooner. Don't subject yourself to a crappy head and spray pattern.

Have two of these and don't have any leaks. Tons of reviews on Home Depot and Home Depot would've dropped them a long time ago if their faucets are always leaking like some of you are suggesting they do. They work great and are solid value for the price.

That being said, I'd buy a Moen. Their lifetime warranty is unmatched and worth paying for.

Does it suck as badly at motion sensing as every single commercial grade motion faucet I've ever used in an airport/restaurant/etc?
