Good price. I bought this calculator at full price a few years ago. However, I can't say I used it much at all. I did my undergrad in Computer Science and Mathematics and grad in Applied Mathematics and Statistics and I barely used a calculator. Perhaps some legit engineering (mechanical, electrical etc.) majors need this but I'm inclined to believe that for most people a basic calculator will do.

Understandable. I'm in my undergrad for Computer and Electrical Engineering right now, finished about 1 1/2 years worth of classes and I have used it for all of my engineering focused classes. In addition my older brother who has already graduated as a Computer Engineer still uses his for his current job.

Most kids get these in Junior High/High School and use them all the way through College so they get their money's worth. You can only use specific calculators on the SAT/ACT so these definitely get used for kids on that path.

For the level of math on SAT/ACT you're better off using no calculator at all, will more than likely slow you down. But granted this was several years ago when I took it so who knows maybe it's changed.
