In the US, the economy is too strong and unemployment is too low, which is why we have inflation and why the fed is tying to slow the economy down by raising interest rates. The recession that was predicted never materialized and the financial experts that were worried about it have drastically reduced their concerns.
If retail stores are closing, it's because of specific mismanagement, underperforming locations, or the trend to on-line purchasing. And frequent sales at DTO are the norm and have been since the start. It is their M.O. and has little to do with your perceptions of the state of the economy.
Guys, let's stop the dumbass arguments about the economy. It was funny for a while as someone that works in that field/industry, but it's not only annoying bc most of you are talking out of your ass or in technicalities to prove your flawed points, it's totally off topic. This about getting a badass deal on some tools, not your personal beliefs on economics with a side of politics
the three-tool garden combo at $110 is better value than the -42% would first suggest https://www.directtoolsoutlet.com.../P20131VNM
... it was $125 during the recent 50% promotion. comes with two batteries.
Damn so that 8 tool kit I was kicking myself for overthinking and not getting last flash sale is at its lowest price ever now. It's making me wonder: why does it keep going on sale? It's not even a holiday. Are they not selling enough? Could this mean it'll be cheaper for future holidays?

Are you referring to the store wide 30-50%flash sales?
Yeah, the one they had before July 4th - 2-3 days online and 1 day in-store 50% off. I'm new to DTO.
They have sales all the time. Sometimes they're sitewide and sometimes they're only for certain tools, like this sale. There's no method to their madness.

Haha. I was moreso talking about the frequency in which this 8 tool brushless kit has been 50%+. When I called my local stores, they said they used to rarely have 50% off factory blemished, but now it's like all of the time. I'm not sure whether to get it now or wait until this and the compact brushless kit are 50% off, so I can split the shipping. At this rate, it's gonna be around the corner, right? Lol

If you're near one then you can do store pickup for the compact brushless when it goes to 50 again.

I think a lot of it is Home Depot over stock. My guess is Home Depot has a deal with TTI to receive credit back when they can't sell something if they send it back. Hence the "blemish" is all actually new in box.
So Father's Day just happened a few weeks ago. I'm guessing Home Depot at some point didn't sell everything and sent it back for credit. Or TTI produced it for Home Depot for father's day and they didn't buy it all?...
Just seems like a father's day package ya know?
This is all speculation I have no clue just trying to make sense of it.

Their eBay store has an additional 30% off singles.
Direct Tools Outlet, operated by TTI (the manufacturer of Ryobi and Ridgid), does not have an eBay store. You are probably thinking of Tools Direct on eBay which has no affiliation with TTI.
