Picked one up this morning. Be sure to find the 2x 2ah battery, not the single 4ah.

This DTO deal might be better for some folks. 120 combo with a brushless impact driver, comes with 4ah and 2ah batteries as well.

Got it from a store a bit further out that had more on hand than my nearby HDs, which I struck out at (claimed 1-2 on hand). It's interesting comparing the app, Brickseek, and HD's automated answering system.

Edit: if one has more on hand per BS and automated answering service, go to that one unless it's significantly further away

Do you really think that's better? What about the 8 tool brushless? Idk if I need a driver; I've never used one. You can also get the 2 tool you linked for 50% off next time they have it.

The 8 tool is the lowest ever by $5. Some of the tools in it Are a luxury, while a couple are str8 up unnecessary, but one could sell what they don't use. According to Ryobi's packaging, this is a $320+ value, making it a 75% discount. The 8 tool kit is a 1260+ value, or 72% discount after shipping, but its probably cheaper $/tool vs buying solo. Regardless, I do like having the HD return policy. I'm on the fence so I'd like to hear what you or anyone thinks

Impact driver is one of the more useful tools for driving screws, way better than a drill. If you are doing any handyman type jobs on the weekend, you will appreciate the driver.

I usually avoid the combo deals because I don't want to deal with selling what I don't need. That's up to you.

I have found I really prefer the brushless hammer drill over my brushed drill for drilling stuff.

Have you ever sold tools like that? Seems like it sounds good in theory, but in practice is a PIA. My main use case will be around the house and some beg woodworking. I'm erring on the side of keeping my hammer from this deal, bc it's basically dirt cheap or free if you take out the batteries, and getting a compact brushless kit next time they go on sale in the store to acquire the driver and one handed saw. Thanks for your input.

What is this automated answering service? I've just been using their app, interested to see if I should be comparing with something else..

When you call a store, it has an automated prompt that asks what you want to do. Say "product availability" and say the internet #. They'll give you an alleged amount on hand and pricing, the latter of which is wrong. It lines up more with Brickseek than the HD website, but is a little different.

Brickseek was accurate for Kentwood in Grand Rapids, I got one and left 2 this afternoon. In the Ryobi display at the front.

Also had the $160 special price on the $199 starter set w/ just 3 batteries, no signage about a free tool.
