Also $90 cheaper than the brushless model. More than adequate tool for the average homeowner, although it is kinda heavy. Good price.

Not sure why people thumbs downed. This is useful info. Brushed are weaker, louder, bigger energy hogs, and have lower service life. However the LSA does cover normal wear and tear in the motor if it craps out. Also, most casual DIYers probably won't notice the difference. For me, just a guy doing little projects around the house, it's worth the discount.

Edit: that being said sometimes you can find brushless factory blemished for 10 to $20 more than this.

I'm just throwing it out there to save anyone a few seconds of searching. For $60, unless you're a professional and using it every day, this is a great deal and sufficient for almost any project.

Probably this for $70. It says "factory blemished" but as others have reported and from my own purchases, it's all brand new in original, sealed packaging. It's just a way for them to get around the manufacturers minimum pricing.

It's worth mentioning Ridgid factory blemished appears to be more a thing of the past and does not appear to be a thing going forward.

It appears some blogger called them out and got home depot's attention. Since home Depot is supposed to be an exclusive, selling new as blemished is a no-no.

I'm sure true seconds and models leaving will still pop up every now and again, but it appears the days of factory blemished meaning new are gone for Ridgid.

You'd have to swallow a huge pill of disbelief to think that Home Depot hasn't always been aware of Direct Tools Outlet selling new Ridgid blems. And even if that argument were to be true, wouldn't it also apply to Ryobi?

I'd agree, but since that post came out, the stock of factory blemished for Ridgid has become nearly non existent.
