Currently on simple choice with 10 lines (can't add any other lines)
I am definitely not leaving tmobile.
So I was thinking of doing this deal with the 4 line max limit.
The last iPhone deal was the $430 off via 24 bill credits on any iPhone device trade in.
Was thinking of doing this deal since it doesn't seem like there will be any iPhone deals with tmobile and older rate plans...
There's always that hope that tmobile will hook up simple choice customers with a killer deal...
You don't need free lines to do these deals. You just need to have available EIP, which I assume you do since the $430 off promo was over a year ago. Even on that deal I stacked 2 onto 1 line.
Knowing that future phone deals probably won't apply to your old plan there is no need to save up the EIP credits. Just get any deals as they come along, unless you plan to upgrade to the newer plans in the not so distant future.
T-mobile has a special variant of this phone that packs 8GB with the 128GB of storage.
I really dislike shopping over the phone too. I was trying to set up a new line and was told they need a port in number from a real carrier. ie verizon/att and not prepaids?
1. pay it off and still receive the monthly credit.
2. stack with another eip.
my choice is just pay it off.

MEID DEC:256xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx and MEID HEX: 990xxxxxxxxxxx. Does anyone know which
of the 2 is considered the IMEI? Please help.
BOTH associates told me that P444 requires to add a line.
P385 does NOT, but you need to have one of the selected phones to be traded (also depend on the trade value, $500 or $250)
The associates also mentioned that "incorrect" trade will be "corrected" later on, meaning they could add a new line or charge me the full price of the phone, for P444.
As I said in my earlier post, T-Mobile is great in confusing / trapping customers in its promo these days

If it has a rate plan requirement, it means it will change your rate plan in order for the bill credit to be eligible to be applied.
monthly device bill credits have compatibility requirements for bill credit to activate and payout (and continue to pay out) each cycle. Moving back to a noncompatible plan will halt the credits. Cancelling the line does too.
I wouldn't risk it.

The last similar deal for free moto edge 2022 with trade in back in January also hadthis online screen saying "Require a Magenta®, Magenta® MAX, or Essentials 55+ plan to receive this promotion", but it worked for other plans like simple choice.
T-mobile is just too lazy to remove this "magenta plan" line from this special promotion, just like it forgot to remove the "add a new line" on the moto edge 2022 page's promotion section.
