Just leaving this comment here for the benefit of others - This is the Edge (Mediatek processor) and not the Edge + with the Snapdragon processor.

Call 833-428-1765 for Costco TMobile and you don't even have to go to the store at all. I did this deal on Sunday.

Anyone concern whether TMobile refuses/refutes the trade done via Costco, and not giving the monthly promo?

How to revert it then?

The phone reps are clueless and make things up as they go along. T-Mobile should have first educated all the reps before rolling out deals like this... at least give these reps a cheat sheet so that they don't make things up!

It's easier to do this at Costco as it was a painelss experience for me.

Mike Sievert, are you listening?
May I know which store you went to? my Costco with T-Mobile is useless, I have to educate them the promo use for any model and any conditions, they take half hours to verify and want to charge me $35 as well, use another 15 minutes to verify and void it, have problem to place order at last step, ask me come back another day. if the store you go to not too far, I may want to there.

Trade in usually you have to mail out by yourself.

How often does T-mobile have such deals where you can trade in any very old or broken phones?

I am not sure I need a new phone right now. Also we got used to Samsung phones. Is there a chance a similar deal will be announced later for a decent Samsung phone?

TIA.

Is it possible that the code has been changed? On the promo website it gives this message "There were no promotions that matched your search criteria." when using CostcoTMobileBenefit code.

Has anyone tried doing this in Costco store and got paperwork for the rebate?
The $75 Costco cash card is done automatically. You don't need to give Costco your Costco membership id but make sure the shipping address household has someone with Costco membership because Costco will match the household address for your eligibility.

Here is my experience going through it at the Costco store just now. Just went up to the T-Mobile rep told him I want to upgrade one of my line for the free moto edge with any trade in and Alex knew what I was taking about. He ask for my cellphone main acct number and got into my account told him which line I wanted to upgrade and asked me what phone to trade jn. He punch in the imei and it gave the green clear validation and he fill in with generic make and model because my phone model was not in the pull down list. But as long as the imei clear which they will show right away you are good.
He then asked me if I was a Costco member I told him no but my cousin is a member and that seem to be ok enough to continue with the shipping and billing which we did. I asked him anything to fill out to get the $75 costxo card he says no just 90 days to process. I got the DocuSign email and sign it and he told me that is it. My phone will shop in two days or so. I ask how about the trade in phone he said I can just take it to the store and they will shop it. But I probably will just get a print out label online through my account because I done that in the past for the last trade in.
I highly recommend just going to the store and take the device u want to trade in with the correct imei. Actually take few used phone in case system don't clear the imei. Save yourself an extra trip.
He auto waived the $35 fee. Just paid the $47 tax for the phone right there.
I asked he done few of these already and he said yes so that seems to help if the rep done it already.
Summary:
Don't need to be a Costco member
Have a cleared imei trade in phone
Avoid $35 fee
Get a $75 Costco card which fingers cross in that one bcuZ never done it through Costco but if I get it that is just a added bonus to this trade in
Got rid of one of my old phone
Heck of a deal.
Might trade in my last old phone for another line so all my old phkne will be upgraddd to 5g now.

Let's say the trade-in is NOT accepted or USPS doesn't deliver the trade-in device as they lose lots of packages. What are the options?

How long is the return window?

Anyone went through this return and how does EIP work?

you would try to contact tforce via twitter and hope they can help out.

Also, I suggest shipping out the phone in a box, a smallish amazon box if you have one laying around.
In the past, Costco used to give out padded envelopes but I don't think they do that anymore.

I suggest first trying at a local tmobile store. It has been mentioned that tmobile reps don't like taking in trade in devices since they can get dinged if something goes wrong with the trade in. worth a try.

Someone in the shipping address should have costco membership. Costco is processing the $75 cash card and verify the eligibility by checking/matching the address. That is what costco told me.
So you don't have to have costco membership but someone in your address must have costco membership to qualify for the cash card rebate.

Just received the phone. It's nicer than I expected. Much better than the crappy Samsung A32 5G free promotion they had 2 years ago.

The screen is bright, the phone is light (maybe half the weight of the A32). Seems great for a backup phone. By the way, I traded in a perfectly working LG G6.

No but you need to have an authorized user on your account that has a costco membership to get the shop card.
