That's because your tradein phone is from metro.
It doesn't work/won't show up as an option to select for tracfone phones, for which the drop down list is empty.

The correct thing to pick if your device manufacturer/model/carrier won't auto populate based on IMEI is: ONLY Moto Edge 230021

Except that there is NOTHING in the drop down list to pick, at least for some phones' imei like tracfone flip phones.

My phone is not a metro phone. It's a Schock smart phone. Regardless, the IMEI is correct so I'm not to concerned.

One important note: the Costco people need a clean imei number. Can't be a locked prepaid or other device you can't verify clean IMEI by booting it up or lifting back plate and looking below the battery. Rep said without that, it would just start charging you like it was a new device by the month with no bill credits.

Mine was an HTC, too, and it showed Moto Edge 2022. I had no issues with the trade-in. I turned in the HTC at the T-Mobile Corporate store.
