Have a 3 year old and a 1 year old. Just picked up a cheap fanny pack. It is awesome...I keep all kinds of useful stuff in it. Even when I'm not with the kids. But it's extra useful when we're going out as a family. I'm a dad, who cares how I look?

For the Daylite Cinch, it boggles my mind that companies still make backpacks without external side mesh pockets for bottles and other small items… osprey should be a lot smarter than that. I understand it's meant to be lightweight and sleek but nobody has to put stuff in it, and it's such a small incremental cost for such a great feature.
