I would yank out the 6400 because it is a severely bottlenecked w/pcie3 and grab a RX 6600 and you get a free copy of Starfield. Also, add another 1x8 of ram in dual channel.

I agree. I don't understand why manufacture pair a pcie 4 card with a pcie 3 cpu. Regardless its a cheap desktop for it being new and not refurbished.

I agree it's a decent deal for being new but I'd give it a real consideration had it came with the RX 5500. Actually, the other HP 12400f/1660 super is a way better deal for $500.

Not a gamer just looking for a new PC that will drive a 43" 4K monitor at 60hz. Will this PC do that for me right out of the box?

Also I seen someone mentioned they saw them for $300 - seems like a great deal to me for a non gaming pc, no?

I saw these at my local Walmart for $399. I'm a console gamer that doesn't really know a whole lot about PC gaming so I looked up the RX6400. The only positive I can remember reading was that it plugged in via PCI which would allow a number of older model CPUs to get a bit of invigoration. I've been debating buying one of the lower end gaming PCs that appear on here but this one just didn't seem to be all that worthwhile. Do the more knowledgeable folks agree with that?

This is bottom of the barrel as far as gaming PC really. If you're used to current gen consoles then I think you'd be disappointed. The 6400 is basically the bare minimum that anyone sells now for discrete graphics. It doesn't handle new games at good fps anything close to high settings.

OTOH this is a very good price for a complete system that will run Minecraft for someones 10 year old kids etc. Or anyone else who might want some light or non demanding gaming.
