If you needed repair work, and happened to be in Japan, does it still include the Japan warranty? Or is the warranty void?

Do any of you know how long these generally take to ship? I leave on a trip on July 29. The estimated date is July 26-28. I want to bring it with me. Is this cutting it too close?

Warranty is void beyond the 90 day Woot warranty, however Nintendo will fix joy-con drift issues (and that issue only). My understanding is you need a Japanese address to be able to cash in on a Japanese warranty.

Will Nintendo honor the warranty in the USA? Generally items are warrantied by country - ie if you buy a Japanese model, they only honor the warranty in Japan - so you'd need to ship it to Japan, and they will only ship it back to Japan?
