Also the MSRP is exaggerated, yes they are a brand name, but they used to sell a 2 pack of generics at the dollar store, looking online the typical price is now $1.50-$2 per unit., it definitely was never worth "$19"

Yes, but what if someone was breaking in? If you silenced it from your phone, you might not know. Sometimes burglars ignore alarms because they plan on being in and out quickly.

I want to say no, I looked at Amazon and someone asked "can I turn these in when I leave" and someone replied "not really. They're either on or off and will sound until connection is within .5 inches". Someone else did mention there is a 30 second delay. But I didn't see anything official.
Wish I bit on the Simplisafe deal a ways back. Darn
