I had a 12 pack of these types of alarms I bought 5 years ago. They work but only if you go out of town and want that little extra peace of mind or if you mount them on windows and doors you rarely ever use. The reason for this is that you actually have to manually turn them on when you want them to be active and off when you don't want the alarm to go off (and you definitely don't want it going off as you walk into your back yard). In the end, I realized that I use all of our doors way too much and don't want to have to turn them on but hand every single night as I go to bed. It is good in theory but terrible in practice when it comes to doors. Windows would be my primary use for these if you choose to get them. Of course, I'm speaking from my own use-case experience and realize there are plenty of other relevant ways these can be implemented for people. For an everyday security for doors around your own house, I do not find them convenient at all and they have all managed to be taken down over the last few years to be replaced with smart devices.

If you don't want to turn on all your alarms manually, this lets you do it from a remote, app/Google home, or schedule. Purely deterrence with 0 protection but worth the peace of mind when you're sleeping and travelling.
FYI, this is SlickInfo. I don't endorse this product.
