For those of you who may not be familiar with adjustable beds, I can't speak to the quality, but this one is described as "zero clearance" (which is different from zero gravity). That means it will work with a bed that has storage underneath because the moving parts of the motor/shock do not interfere with your bed slats or solid base. in other words, it will work on a flat surface and doesn't need the legs.

So, great deal OP. At least talking to others, this is a good deal.
My dad needs an adjustable bed. However, I went with the S5, as explained below.

The S5 is on flash sale currently for $400 for queen size:
https://www.flexispot.com/adjustable-bed-base-s5

Compared to the S4, it's upholstered instead of fabric, it has another 10 degree range, 150 more lbs weight capacity, and an emergency battery.

You can actually drop it down to $360 with a 10% student discount code through studentbeans [studentbeans.com] (which if you have an edu email and an institution on their list, they only require email verification).
Or you can drop it down to $385 with coupon code FSBMSM15ALL
(pulled that last coupon from the Flexispot sidewide coupon page [flexispot.com])

According to the webpage as of this posting they have 93 units left at that flash sale price.
A split King is two Twin XL size mattresses. The XL are 5 inches longer than a Twin. You cover the mattresses separately but you use the same top sheet if you get split King sheets. Alternately you can buy two Twin XL sheet sets and each person has their own top sheet. A tip for buying....the prices are usually the same for two Twin XLs and a Split King and if a company has a $300 off coupon on a mattress purchase if you buy two Twin XLs you can get $600 off, whereas if you buy split King mattress you can only use that coupon once.

Good deal. If you're looking for massage too, I'd recommend members mark at sams club. Really good quality and easy returns for piece of mind. Their adjustable queen base without massage is always $399 (750lb max) but out of stock for that size atm. https://www.samsclub.com/p/member..._product_1

I don't have this model but commenting on the usefulness of adjustable bed bases. If you're sick, injured, snore, restless, etc this gives you much needed relief. A standard box spring, base, whatnot just doesn't make sense anymore with the pricing of adjustable bed bases.

The chart on the product page says any mattress over 6" thick (I think this is in reference to memory foam mattresses). Not sure otherwise.

If it's for two people I'd get a split King. I'd go insane if I had to compromise to keep my bed adjusted to another person's preferences. I can recommend Sams members mark bases too. Happy with mine.

We started using adjustable base years ago when Zinus had sales. Two pregnancies so far and these are awesome! At the time our bedroom only fit queen. We've always wanted to upgrade to split king after we moved. With split king, do you just purchase two full size mattresses, and cover them separately? Basically look like having two full size side by side? Waiting for split king base to go on sale!

I feel stupid asking this, but does this work with all mattresses with at least the 6" height? - memory foam, hybrid, coil?

How does that work with a mattress? Are there split mattresses you need to buy? Thanks Smilie
