AMD and nVidia both price their products based on expected demand. If people keep buying them, they will keep their prices up. If people stopped buying, the price drops. Typing your thoughts or telling people to stop making purchases in a slickdeals forum does absolutely nothing but expose your inadequate understanding of the market.
I can confirm that mine has coil whine in heavy load like Assassin's Creed Odyssey. It is mostly softened by my fan spin noise though.
I'm fairly new to the PC gaming world. I understand that coil whine is common and not a sign of defect. Is this grounds for returning to MC and asking for a different card? I imagine they'd give me a new one but curious if that's even worth doing since it's an hour away and it's most likely every card - is that correct thinking?
Anyways, so far, plug and play - happy. High FPS. I wanted something that could fill out my 240hz monitor. And the 20gb VRAM is nice for whatever future-proofing it may provide. That's why I went AMD and not 12gb 4070 (ti).
