yes its full wattage 3050 which is a good deal better than the 1650 you see floating around in this price range. DLSS is a massive upgrade for these budget laptops.

Anyone wanting over 100 FPS on 1080p high settings will have to spend more than this, however.

Bought this exact model open box from Best Buy back in January. It was great for about 10 days, then the thing completely died. No startup, nothing.

Fortunately they had the same return policy as new for open box items, but had it died 5 days later I would've been stuck with a brick working with Dell on a warranty claim, which I'm told is not a fun experience.

So basically stress test the crap out of one of these within 14 days of buying it to make sure it's going to hold up for you.

It's tough - both are great machines. This one is $100 cheaper if you get openbox -excellent.

However the lenovo has:
3050 6GB GPU vs 3050 4GB GPU
slightly better processor
slightly better battery
But $100 more.

For some its all about price

This was under $480 out the door for me (no sales tax this month in FL on "back to school" items).

Cheapest full wattage 3050 and it's on a good machine with the G15.

How is the keyboard and touchpad on this? My wife needs a new machine for her business, but she also wants to be able to play games on it with our son. She does a lot of designing in GIMP so she needs a decent touchpad.
