How are thermals? Could this thing actually sit on a lap or does this need a laptop stand to avoid throttling that 95w 3050?
nvm I see openbox

A little on the bulky heavy side for what I wanted too so I'm gonna watch for a 13/14" deal.
The afterburners turned to full speed on start up and then randomly with certain apps. Way too noisy for me. I did buy open-box excellent, so possibly something with my unit, however, when I had the Legion right next to me for noise comparsion, there was no way I could ignore the sound this thing generates. Other than the fan noise, it was nice laptop. Glad I returned it though, as I paid $655 for it just last month.

My gripe is a tiny noise from the fans clicking on and off when the computer is idle. Going from zero rpm to barely moving. It's a tiny sound, but Lenovo should either leave it at 0 rpm or a really low rpm, and stop cycling between the two
