I did upgrade to 16GB of Ram for like $50.
Fans do a decent job of cooling. Did not notice any thermal throttling. Lighting on keyboard is just white.

Screen is mediocre, but plenty bright enough. I believe it's 300 nits.
Overall, I'm very happy with it.
