edit: dang my order was ready one minute after submitting an order. I guess it gets automatically printed and just has to be thrown in an envelope by a worker?

Well, this is unusual.
I placed my order at 3:31pm and got order confirmation.
At 3:33pm I got "Your Walgreens Photo order is ready. Want curbside or drive-thru pickup?"
I can walk to the place but I can't believe it would be ready that quickly.
UPDATE:
Went there and it was ready and was told machine was not busy but other free orders came in after mine.
Which reminds me, most troublesome place to pick up was at 6 Avenue, Broadway, 35th Street, across from Macy's in Manhattan.
They usually had trouble finding my order.
this one sucks, u have to add a credit card before u can order it. The CVS free 8x10 photo is better. You can create as many account as u want and it's free.. no credit card needed...
no you do not need to put in a credit card. Do not select a friend will pick up. If you do, then I believe a credit card is needed.
Do they check/ask for your ID when you come and pickup?
Never happened to wife and myself.
Often my wife would pick up order that was place with my name of Raymond.
This was without my saying on order that it would be picked up by someone else.

I have never put in a credit card.
Some clerks may ask you for your phone number that is associated with the account.
