Instead I bought this one:
USB C to Ethernet Adapter,10Gbps USB C Hub Multiport Adapters with Gigabit RJ45,2 USB 3.1 Ports and USB C 3.1 Port,4 in 1 USB C Adapter for MacBook Pro/Air, iMac, iPad, Dell,Galaxy, Surface, and More https://a.co/d/6cD0kun
It has Ethernet LEDs and USB 3.2. I can run my external USB NVME drives at 10Gbps through it perfectly. And I know the Ethernet port is connected.

TBF though, all the Ugreen products I've owned have been excellent. Right up there with Anker and I would probably trust Ugreen more actually. I've had bad experiences with Anker chargers overheating MacBooks.

Such as 2.2 BILLION dollar settlement where Mercedes Benz not only lied about performance but they built a mode into the cars to know when they were being tested to purposely skew the results in MB's favor. But you won't hear KetchupKing crying about that because Mercedes isn't from "cHiNa!."

BTW, this is a "factual" link. No reddit, no opinion based claims, no circulator reddit logic where post A quotes post B who quotes posts A as "evidence." 100% verifiable and objective information from a reliable independent source. Funny how that works
