I am in the same boat. I have spent so much on bags this year and we haven't even been traveling much. For me, I just point to her shoe collection and purses and say she has no room to argue.

I'm personally going to jump on the 26L version. Seems like a fantastic bag and I don't have many clamshell bags yet so this will at least be a little different than my usual.

*Edit - I also added on the water bottle holder for $25. Kinda pricey for a water bottle holder but I think it'll work for a few other bags I have so it can move around if I change my bag up. PS - I wasn't charged Tax in Florida... that was a little weird. Do their prices include tax?

I have thousands in bags and backpacks that cost $100, $200 and more which seems expensive at first until you realize women buy single bags that cost thousands.

For hiking with camera gear you probably want a Shimoda. Check out Nick Page on YouTube, he's the go to guy for outdoor photography and gear.

Good call on the Shimoda. Those are fantastic bags but very expensive considering you have to also buy the camera cube. You do that with Wandrd bags too so maybe the poster already has one. Either way, great call.

I've had this bag for over 2 years and I love it. I had an issue where a strand came out, and they sent me a new one. The bag is also very waterproof; my water bottle leaked inside while my laptop was in there, and I had no idea! Ended up having to replace my laptop LMAO

I have a brand new Wandrd and I hate it, never used it, literally never used it, just sits in the closet. My Peak Design I don't actually use for my camera gear, it's my travel and flight backpack, awesome for that. My camera backpack is actually a Manfrotto NX CSC backpack, I absolutely love that thing. Have a Lowepro also that's nice if I want to carry more stuff. If I want to just take a few things on a quick trip out of town in something floppy that doesn't take up much room, I have a $10 Targus backpack that works like a champ. Honestly if someone is on a budget, you can get a $10 backpack, put a camera cube in it and buy a backpack rain cover from Cabela's and you are golden.

It doesn't have to be used as a sternum strap. could be used as a waist closure, compression closure, or sling closure. In the Shadow's case it looks like they use a Fidlock in that top inside organizer too.

Looks like this 50% code applies to a number of their products, not just this bag. (Confirmed it works with Shadow 26 and Shadow 22 Multicam)

If you envision being with her long-term, then skip it. I dunno about your finances, but there's a responsibility to your partner to keep spending like this in check. You've already bought two other expensive (to me anyways) backpacks. Do you really need a third? Else, get rid of one of the others. If you're financially responsible and your girl buys a new pair of shoes/bag/xyz every other month (or more??), then have at it. Eventually, you start running out of space to keep all the stuff you buy. I used to buy stuff all the time too. In the end, I realized most of that stuff I didn't really use that much or could have done without.

Damn, is this final sale? That page says the code is final sale but the product page didn't say final sale. I grabbed it because I need a bag (I thought the waterproof is neat) but didn't know it was a final sale. I like return options (even if I have to pay return shipping) just in case I don't like the quirks of it (still not sure about no water bottle holder & putting kids water bottle inside bag sounds like a disaster. I was thinking about getting a third party backpack attachable/removable water bottle holder for this bag). It's on sale but not exactly a cheap bag (based on price range of bags I usually buy).
