SK Hynix took over Intel storage. SK Hynix is one of the biggest flash memory producers. So it's not just a brand that buys flash chips from other companies, they make their own. However, their warranty process is quite subpar apparently. I own half a dozen of their drives, nvme (including this particular drive in 2TB) and a few old school SSDs, never have had a problem. Highly recommend unless you worry about the warranty process, which I personally would never utilize as I am not willing to send in a drive with my data on it.
