So this model doesn't mention self propelled but the video shows it being so. I pulled the trigger on it but would hate to get it and it's not self propelled.

probably is just no reverse gear

It is self propelled. Only catch is that the tines are engaged when it is in motion unless you move the wheels on the axle to free wheel mode. Not horrible but a little annoying.

I received mine last week. This model is self propelled.

And this model operates in reverse. Reverse is up on the handle so you can change instantaneously to just back over a spot, versus the gear box model that you have to stop the tiller, then reach down and wrestle the gear in place to change to reverse, then stop, wrestle the gear again to go back to forward.
