A large part of brushing is the physical act of removing materials stuck to your teeth.
Sure, I've seen many in pediatrics. I believe most "dentist-traumatized" two-year-olds are actually neglected children whose parents don't accept responsibility for their poor dental outcomes. Also, did you know that two-year-olds just cry a lot anyway? It's not a reason to claim trauma and let a two year old run the dental decisions in the house.

Outside of some rare developmental issues, there's no reason two year olds should be developing carious teeth that require pediatric surgery. Still it happens every day, and the responsibility for the outcomes rest with the parents that fed a cariogenic diet and failed to brush their children's teeth adequately with a fluoridated toothpaste as pediatricians and dentists recommend. I'm glad things worked out for your kiddo, but there are kids out there with much greater cavity risk that could be harmed by poor advice like brushing with non-fluoridated paste.

You are wrong. This has .243% sodium fluoride the same as most adult sodium fluoride pastes.

Children use the same fluoride concentrations, but the therapeutic dose is adjusted by the volume of paste used. Smear on the brush for infants. Some paediatricians wish to wait until after 6 months old, but actual evidence says fluoride is beneficial from eruption of the tooth. Rice size at about 4 years old depending on body mass. Pea-sized for around 7 years old. Full adult use instructions after about 12 years old.

It's absolutely suitable for adults. It has the same concentration of fluoride as you'd expect from Crest or Colgate sodium fluoride toothpastes. The primary difference comes in the flavor and usually higher cost.

Hydroxyapatite toothpaste is the right fluoride free alternative. This one is not it.
