PSA: Just a warning but I had a pair of these and the rubberized plastic handle started melted off and became a gooey mess. Not sure if it's the environment they were stored it but they were hardly ever used and stored in my garage and outside closet for a long time. If you look at the reviews, there are multiple accounts of this happening to others.
Because eventually those cutters on the pliers get dull, they are typically made for mono or flourocarbon. I always have a pair of braid scissors.

Just use the line cutter on your fishing pliers, who uses a separate pair of scissors?
Plus what makes these for "fishing" look like they came from a sewing kit

I've had these for over a year and a half now. No issues. They stay in my tackle barn bag in my garage when not in use and no melt issue like the person above stated but I'll keep an eye out. My garage does get to over 100 degrees sometimes.

Most people who use braided line prefer scissors. The line cutter on fishing pliers works okay for monofilament and light wire, but it is inferior for braid.
For monofilament, a toe nail cutter actually works better than fishing pliers too.

Get these or a tool from line cutterz brand.
