I think you're vastly underestimating the number of cycling enthusiasts and groups in the world. It doesn't surprise me that so many are on SlickDeals either, because cycling can be a very very expensive endeavor. Everyone is looking to save a buck.

Was contemplating moving from SPD-SL to Speedplay but with this deal, it just sealed the deal. Was also in the market for a power meter as well so this was a no brainer.

Hit the nail on the head. Also heart rate lags compared to power which is instant when it comes to effort.

Yes I am sure Garmin knows this, when you don't pedal(Cadence is not moving) and you are moving fast, you sure is going downhill.

Did anyone actually receive their order yet? REI's website has shown "Awaiting carrier pickup." since Friday. Ontrac's website has shown "Shipment details received" for a package from Goodman, AZ.
